  I stopped by this gas station to stretch out on my long trip. It is a very tiny gas station, with only a few parking spots. The bathroom is super small. It's alright to stop by during the day, but I would be cautious to drive by at night (after sunset), as I did. Besides snacks that you can grab from the shelf, there isn't any hot food.

• Review of "R. L. Travers and Associates, Inc." at Lorton

  For the last 3 months we have searched for a showroom space between 4500 and 6000 square feet. We have primarily focused on the Chantilly Virginia area. During our search for the perfect location we have seen quite a few properties and dealt with over 10 real estate companies. At this this point we have learned what to expect when inquiring about a listing. Finally, we thought we had found the perfect listing. We started out our inquires as we had done before by sending emails and leaving voicemails asking for a return call. None were ever returned. When we finally got someone on the line, they were quite rude. I explained that we had made multiple inquiries without any response and we're very interested in the property. We were told that there was lots of interest in the property but it was still available. At this point we mentioned that we would like to get a proposal written up and wanted to know how could we go about that. We requested a face to face meeting. We were told that the next step was to send another email with the same information that we had sent before. That's when we realized that we were getting the run around and wasting our time. Our company has strong sales and financials, and we were looking for at least a 5 Year lease in a location that fits us well. This seems to not have been enough to earn a meeting or conversation over. As a contracting company that specializes in both commercial and residential construction, we tend to do a lot of business to business, we were appalled at the level of professionalism offered here.

• Review of "Tamarack Stables" at Lorton

  My two daughters (8 and 10) have really enjoyed riding almost every other week for the past year at Tamarack having semi private lessons with Charlotte. There is a variety of horses, who are kept in good condition, and the instruction has been great. I have been impressed with the girl's progress going from beginners to cantering and jumping. Unfortunately, I have just learned the cost of the 1 hour semi-private class has gone up $15 each per class, which means we may have to cut down to once per month or look elsewhere. Ranger, Fritz, and Waldo - our three favorites will be sorely missed :
